October 18, 2022
Virginia Democrats plan to put us in prison and take our children from us if we do not endorse LGBT ideology.
Democrat Elizabeth Guzman has announced that she is introducing a bill in Virginia’s House of Delegates to “expand the state’s definition of child abuse and neglect to include parents who do not affirm their child’s gender identity or sexual orientation.” When asked about the possible penalties, Guzman replied, “It could be a felony, it could be a misdemeanor. … We know that CPS charge could harm your employment.” In short, not helping your confused adolescent daughter amputate her breasts and sterilize herself would be a crime for which the state will take your child away from you, ruin your career, and maybe lock you up. read full article

A public health researcher running for Congress is sparking backlash after calling for sexual intercourse to be enshrined as a human right. Alexandra Hunt, a Democrat, is running to unseat Dwight Evans in Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District.
On October 17, Hunt posted a thread to Twitter in which she bemoaned the lack of sex young men are reportedly having, and appeared to blame the criminalization of the sex trade for violence against women. Hunt’s thread comes just days after a 22-year-old man in Ohio was arrested for planning a misogynistic “slaughter” of 3,000 women in relation for his lack of success in dating. … read full article

A trial over whether states can ban cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers, and sex-change surgery for children begins in Arkansas this week, in a landmark case pitting Republicans against trans campaigners.
US District Judge Jay Moody will hear testimony over the law he temporarily blocked last year blocking doctors from providing sex change treatments to anyone aged under 18. It also prevents doctors from referring patients elsewhere for such care.
Arkansas was the first state to enact such a ban on transition treatment for kids, with Republican politicians in 2021 overriding Gov. Asa Hutchinson's veto of the legislation, called the Save Adolescents From Experimentation Act. … read full article
US - Junior high teacher in-service claims biological sex is a spectrum, ‘outing’ LGBTQ students to parents violates privacy laws
From Parents Defending Education (USA)
October 17, 2022
A recent junior high teacher in-service presentation focused on LGBTQ+ issues featured a slide stating that “biological Sex is a spectrum.” As part of the “Why Creating LGBTQ+ Safe Space Matters” professional development, teachers at Canyon Hills Junior High in Chino Valley Unified School District were also instructed that revealing a student’s gender identity to parents without permission violates a student’s privacy rights.
A training slide titled “When Parents Object” states that under the “California and U.S. Constitutions, we have a protected right to privacy, which includes the right to keep your sexual orientation, gender identity or that you are transgender private.” It continues by explaining that even if a student is “out” at school but not at home, they can “reasonably expect that they’re [parents] not going to find out.” The slide concludes by adding that “being open about your sexuality in school doesn’t mean you automatically give up your right to privacy outside school.” … read full article
US - Google pulls map of gender clinics across US after it was called 'extremist' by trans activist parents
"The important thing to remember is to NEVER talk about the number of gender clinics for children, instead talk about hoax phone calls and bogus threats. Deflect, lie and invent and when the facts just don't quite add up, you can always lie," Alix Aharon said sarcastically.

A map charting the locations of clinics and hospitals offering medicalized gender transitions and other gender identity-centric treatments has come under attack by gender ideology proponents, who say that this map is "dangerous."
The map was taken down by Google after trans activist backlash, Alix Aharon told The Post Millennial. Documentation from a group of parents of trans-identified children and teens confirms that they worked to get Google to take it down as well. They called the map the creation of a "terrorist organization." … read full article

October 17, 2022
Early Sunday morning, with the rest of my household still fast asleep, I settled into my easy chair with a hot cup of coffee. The first glimmers of light had yet to threaten the darkness on the eastern horizon.
I casually scanned the latest news on my phone. (Why do we still call it a “phone”, I wonder, when phoning people is by far its least used — and arguably least useful — function? Alexander Graham Bell would be astonished.)
This headline in The National Post caught my eye: “Doctors have gone silent on gender dysphoria. That's not good for patients.”
How extraordinary, I thought. … read full article

From Forbes (USA)

October 18, 2022
When it comes to the explosive, hugely sensitive question of how public schools support transgender students, there’s frequently been more heat than light. The debates have featured more invective and charges of “transphobia,” frequently from those who seem more interested in sweeping declarations than in considering what policies actually say.
That has been especially true in Virginia, where Governor Glenn Youngkin recently issued new model guidelines regarding parental rights, schools, and transgender students. Youngkin replaces an unworkable, widely ignored set of directions issued by his predecessor with the direction that schools “respect parents’ values and beliefs,” “keep parents informed about their children’s well-being,” “serve the needs of all students,” and “partner with parents.” … read full article
Ed. Note: I just realized with a shock that I’ve been blind to the real meaning of “culture-war”, before reading this gas-lighting marvel. What they mean by “culture-war laws” is laws they dislike. The term has the advantage of seeming fair and impartial, while subtly conveying disapproval. It’s become a way for both political sides to condemn the positions of the other without engaging in any substantive analysis. In fact, it’s another way the “liberal” (and increasingly pro-censorship) elite attack freedom of thought. If you read the preceding articles in today’s issue, clearly there’s a war on culture, waged by self-righteous progressives.

Over the past three academic years, 25 states have passed 64 laws reshaping what students can learn and do at school.
A wave of new state laws meant to alter how students learn and the rights they have at school has taken effect across nearly half the country, a Washington Post analysis has found, as part of the rising battle over cultural values in American education.
Over the past three academic years, legislators in 45 states proposed 283 laws that either sought to restrict what teachers can say about race, racism and American history; to change how instructors can teach about gender identity, sexuality and LGBTQ issues; to boost parents’ rights over their children’s education; to limit students’ access to school libraries and books; to circumscribe the rights of transgender students; and/or to promote what legislators defined as a “patriotic” education. … read full article

US - Just Like Other Girls

I write to you from the lonely generation. A generation that can hardly make eye contact, let alone share their true feelings. A generation conditioned into complacency and silence through years of corporate programming, a toxic food system full of hormone-altering pesticides, and heavy-duty medication. A confused generation, who lack the necessary vocabulary to articulate their lived experiences.
Mia thought she wasn’t “like other girls”. Mia, in fact, was the quintessential normal human girl, full of personality, complexities, specialness, and specifics, who, like all of us, was thrown into a world that seems to prefer machines, stereotypes, and obedient consumers to actual human beings. Mia struggled with anxiety. She tried to embrace her authentic self outside of the television-based narrative. … read full article
US - John Oliver Gets Gender Wrong
Oliver uncritically parroted activist talking points on ‘gender-affirming care.’
From Reality's Last Stand (USA)
By Lisa Selin Davis
October 18, 2022
Earlier this week, John Oliver—famous for making both comedy and news out of complex, esoteric subjects (he once transformed credit scores into the stuff of laughs and outrage)—aired a 26-minute segment on trans rights. He covered “trans girls” in girls’ sports and pediatric “gender-affirming” care, among other issues. Perhaps he was feeling competitive with his old boss Jon Stewart, who aired a similar gender misinformation session on his own show the week before, and was thus racing to promote as many activist talking points as possible to preserve his liberal bona fides. This would at least partially explain why a rigorous fact checking process was seemingly thrown to the wind.
Given Oliver’s massive audience, one may have hoped he would have approached this topic with the seriousness and nuance it deserves. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Instead, Oliver ended up greatly contributing to the spread of harmful disinformation surrounding “gender affirming care” by uncritically repeating several common and easily disprovable falsehoods. … read full article

oh, my. Could it get any weirder?
The pregnant trans man article stood out for me today so I googled Tristan Powell. I found that in 2016 he was a she and had received a $2500 grant to write, direct and star in a romance movie called “Break in Bloom” about a trans woman and a cis man. Then I looked for the film but can’t find it. Any super sleuths out there? I’m popping my popcorn in anticipation.
Was she planning to play the trans woman or the cis man? 🤔 if the film was never made, perhaps Tristan used the money to transition, maybe because she lost interest in the project or because she too got swept up in the cult herself. (PS, I realize I’m making up a story here... 😘)
At any rate I found it absurd that the film’s intent was described as feminist. Her pregnancy as a “man” is equally anti-woman. And teaching this to kids is narcissistic, confusing and dumb.
