The Boulder Valley School District in Boulder, Colorado, says transgender students have a "right" to be addressed by their preferred pronouns and that a person's failure to do so violates district policy.
The policy says a student "has the right to be addressed by a name and pronoun that corresponds to the student’s gender identity" regardless of whether the student has legally changed his or her name.

US - Gemma Aitchison Transforms Trauma to Inspire a New Generation of Feminists
'Yes Matters' founder on trauma, tackling stereotypes and the perks of dressing like a dickhead.
From 4W (USA)
By Josephine Bartosch
June 29, 2022
Feminist activist Gemma Aitchison didn’t grow-up with an ambition to change the world. She tells me “I’m from a council estate in Bolton. No-one in my family was interested in politics, because when you’re on the edge of poverty you’re not focused on the bigger picture.” But today, the 35-year-old founder of Yes Matters is on a mission to teach everyone from school children to politicians, about “the links between pornography, objectification, gender stereotypes and male violence.”
What politicized Gemma wasn’t reading a pamphlet or attending a demonstration, it was the murder of her little sister, sixteen-year-old Sasha Marsden. Sasha was lured to a hotel with the promise of a cleaning job, once there she was stabbed 58 times by sadistic misogynist David Minto. Rather than confess, Minto repeatedly lied, meaning Sasha’s family and friends were forced to endure a trial. When Gemma sat in court, listening to testimony from David Minto, she spotted something revealing in the words he used. ... read full article

At 12, Chloe was confused; at 13, she told her parents she believed she was a boy. Her parents took her to a doctor who put her on puberty blockers and testosterone to help her “transition.” At 15 — years before she would be allowed to get a tattoo or buy a drink — doctors cut off both her breasts. By 16, she knew she had made a mistake.
Chloe shared her tale with the New York Post in a piece about the growing trend of “de-transitioning.” As the Post noted, “Tragically, many will struggle for the rest of their lives with the irreversible medical consequences of a decision they made as minors.” ... read full article

Is woke gender ideology taking hold in the United States?
Liberals continue to push it, but the people have become less accepting of this progressive dogma in recent years. The public is more likely to support the biological perspective of sex and gender than the alternative.
It’s a positive sign. Hopefully, the trend continues. ... read full article

Self-id is a misnomer. Anyone can "self-identify" however they please—as a precious child of God, Python fan, diva, heir of the Enlightenment, a man or a woman or neither, whatever that means to you.
Of course, certain identities may—in quiet moments of self-reflection—sit a bit uneasily if inadequately supported by reality. A self-identified "artist" who never creates, for instance, might feel self-conscious when confronted with others’ artistic output. This isn’t anyone else’s problem besides the self-identified artist. ... read full article

THERE’S a great deal of trust involved when you accompany your child to school and hand them over to a teacher. You believe that they will keep your offspring safe and give them the chance to learn to read, write and do sums.
You hope they will also support them to make friends, protect them from bullying and teach them to understand and discuss the world in which they are growing up. You trust the school to offer lessons that are rooted in known and verified facts.
So, what on earth do you do when your child comes home and reports they are learning things you do not agree with or support — and their teacher, whom you should be able to trust, responds by saying that they simply can’t tell you anything about it? ... read full article

A Christian doctor is to appeal a judgment affirming his right to disagree with transgenderism while asserting that these views cannot be expressed in the workplace.
Dr David Mackereth, 58, was fired as a medical assessor for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in 2018 after refusing to refer to transgender clients by their chosen pronouns.
He challenged his firing, claiming it breached his right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, but in 2019, he lost his case when an employment tribunal ruled that his belief in Genesis 1:27 - that humans are born male and female - was "incompatible with human dignity", "unworthy of respect in a democratic society" and "mere opinion". ... read full article
