Pediatricians across America are at war with their own professional body over controversial puberty-blocking drugs routinely handed to teens wanting to change gender, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Disturbingly, the documents also reveal experts believe the APP is deliberately silencing internal criticism by blocking moves for a crucial policy review.
The papers, leaked by a whistleblower, expose how rank-and-file AAP members across the U.S. are slamming the academy's 'shoddy' drugs-and-hormones-first approach to trans-identifying teens. … read full article

The three are trying to gain a voice in Rhode Island’s legislature at a time when state lawmakers around the country have introduced a record number of bills to limit LGBTQ rights, with about half of that legislation targeting transgender people specifically. … read full article
US - Serena Williams’ farewell an eloquent acknowledgement of biological inequality

This was going to be about whether Serena Williams is the greatest sportswoman in history. After all, who was better?
Maybe Babe Didrikson, with Olympic gold medals in two separate athletics events and 10 major wins on the LPGA tour; perhaps Larisa Latynina, who won 18 medals over three Olympic Games; or Jackie Joyner-Kersee, with her back-to-back titles in the Olympic heptathlon; or Allyson Felix, who has just retired after winning more medals than any other runner in history. From Williams’s sport there’s Martina Navratilova, with 167 singles titles and another 177 in doubles, or Steffi Graf, who spent 377 weeks at the top of the world rankings. … read full article
US - New coalition fights Biden’s plan for LGBTQ rewrite of education rights: ‘We will block this’
From The Washington Times (USA)
By Ryan Lovelace
August 11, 2022
More than 140 advocacy groups formed a new coalition to stop the Biden administration’s proposed rewrite of regulations banning sex discrimination in education, saying the new LGBTQ-slant to the rules will harm children and limit parental rights.
The fight is over defining sex or expanding the definition to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Biden administration says a new, broader definition of sex is needed to protect LGBTQ students, but opponents warn it will curtail free speech and diminish due process for students on college campuses. … read full article

Parental rights demand parental responsibilities
From National Review (USA)
By Madeleine Kearns
August 11, 2022
In recent years, disturbing reports have emerged of children undergoing gender transitions at school behind their parents’ backs. In one instance, a 13-year-old Florida girl met secretly with school personnel to discuss her gender transition, how she’d like to be addressed, whether she’d prefer to bunk with the boys on overnight trips, and so on. In another, also in Florida, a twelve-year-old girl met secretly with a school counselor over four months to discuss her gender identity and her religious family (whom the counselor deemed “unsupportive”); the girl twice tried to commit suicide at school. Understandably, stories like these are making parents increasingly sensitive about their rights regarding their own children. … read full article

At the beginning of the school year in 2019, Jennifer received an email from her daughter’s 5th-grade teacher. The teacher, a male, was using a different name for her then-10-year-old daughter. Jennifer thought it was a mistake. The teacher must have accidentally emailed the wrong parent.
But then, Jennifer went to her daughter’s room and found a yellow Post-It note stuck to her dresser with that same name, along with the pronouns “they/them.”
“Do you have a new nickname?” Jennifer asked.
Her daughter responded yes. … read full article

The debates over critical race theory (CRT) and gender ideology can feel like people on either side are talking past one another. Truth is, they often are.
There’s a lot more agreement than it seems. Parents and teachers tend to think that the Left has a point when it says schools should do a better job teaching about America’s complex racial history, and that kids should feel welcome in school regardless of their race, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity. ... read full article
US - Government should stop feeding the nonbinary delusion
From Washington Examiner (USA)
By Tom Joyce
August 11, 2022
New York made it easier for its residents to identify as nonbinary on a government document last week.
If you want to identify as nonbinary on a New York driver’s license, permit, or nondriver ID, you can order a replacement ID and click the X gender option. Previously, New Yorkers had to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles to change the gender on their license.
It’s absurd that government entities, including New York state, are feeding into the woke delusion that there are infinite genders. Governments should not normalize this nonsense. There are men and women. Biology determines which one you are.
Sadly, New York is not alone in this endeavor. … read full article

He also looked at her as she stood naked from a shower demanding he leave and grant her privacy. He refused. You probably aren’t being paranoid, the equalities evangelists in your workplace may actually be after you. That’s certainly the case if you’re an academic, to judge by a genuinely disturbing report that University and College Union (UCU) members plotted to compile a list of university staff suspected of holding gender-critical beliefs.
It’s not just universities: from primary school upwards, educational institutions have been transformed into ideological factories. Thankfully, the Government seems to now being doing something about it.
Yesterday, Attorney General Suella Braverman delivered a lecture at Policy Exchange in which she savaged the long march of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) industry through both the public and private sector. She took aim at EDI lobby groups for building ‘mighty citadels of grievance’ where equality laws are used to gag opponents. … read full article

The Tavistock gender identity clinic is facing legal action over claims children were misdiagnosed and rushed into transitioning at a young age.
The clinic, which is being shut down by NHS England, was criticised by an independent review for the quality of care and services provided to patients, who were predominantly young teenagers expressing an interest in gender transitioning.
Staff, patients and parents have raised concerns that young people using the service were put on the pathway to transitioning too early and before they had been properly assessed. … read full article

UK - Suella Braverman is right to take on trans teaching in schools
From The Spectator (UK)
By Joanna Williams
August 11, 2022
Three cheers for Suella Braverman. The Attorney General has made clear that it is not appropriate for schools to teach young children that gender is a choice. Speaking at the think tank Policy Exchange on Wednesday, Braverman stated that teachers should not be in the business of indoctrinating children with ‘one sided and controversial views on gender’. To do so, she warned, may leave them in breach of government guidance.
What’s more, Braverman indicated, schools should not allow children to change gender – whether by using a different name or pronouns, wearing a different uniform, or using the toilets meant for the opposite sex – without their parents’ consent. … read full article

A decade after dismissing feminists as ‘obnoxious bigots’, UK justice secretary Dominic Raab is soon expected to come out in a pink pussy hat to ‘reclaim the night’. Well, almost. According to the Mail on Sunday, Raab is planning a change of policy to ensure that women in Britain’s prisons, some of the most vulnerable women in the country, will no longer be locked up with men. Tearing down the patriarchy might not be at the top of Raab’s agenda, but in this one move to protect female prisoners, he has done more for vulnerable women than many self-proclaimed feminist politicians ever have. … read full article
UK - The subversion of Athena Swan
How trans activists turn public funding to push their agenda
From The Critic (UK
By Alice Sullivan and John Armstrong
August 11, 2022
From 2016 to 2020 the UK’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) in effect required that institutions avoid gathering equalities data on sex if they wished to be eligible for research funding. This happened despite universities’ clear public sector equality duty to monitor data on the protected characteristic of sex.
How did this happen? In 2011 the NIHR announced that from 2016 only organisations with an Athena Swan Silver award would be eligible for funding. At the time, the Athena Swan charter was a scheme to promote women’s careers in Science, Technology, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM), and so who could object? NIHR could not have predicted that by 2016, gender-identity activists would have subverted Athena Swan to such an extent that it no longer collected data on sex. … read full article
