US - Let’s Say Gay
From The New York Times (USA)
By Pamela Paul
October 23, 2022
Last month, the new president of the advocacy group Human Rights Campaign, Kelley Robinson, posted a six-and-a-half-minute video to introduce herself and frame the mission of her organization, which was founded 40 years ago by the gay activist Steve Endean to help fund political campaigns for pro-gay-rights candidates. In the video, Robinson talked about voting rights. She talked about transgender kids in school. She talked about abortion access and workers’ rights. She said a lot of things, including getting “to a world where we are free and liberated without exception — without exception — without anyone left behind.”
Not once, however, did she say the word “gay” or “lesbian” or “bisexual.” … read full article
UK - Most children who think they’re transgender are just going through a ‘phase’, says NHS
Doctors told not to encourage young people to change their names and pronouns
From The Telegraph (UK)

October 23, 2022
Most children who believe that they are transgender are just going through a “phase”, the NHS has said, as it warns that doctors should not encourage them to change their names and pronouns.
NHS England has announced plans for tightening controls on the treatment of under 18s questioning their gender, including a ban on prescribing puberty blockers outside of strict clinical trials.
The services, which will replace the controversial Tavistock clinic, will be led by medical doctors rather than therapists and will consider the impact of other conditions such as autism and mental health issues. … read full article
US - Inmate on Death Row Now Identifying as a Woman Ahead of Execution

October 23, 2022
An inmate incarcerated in Missouri for the brutal rape and murder of his ex-girlfriend appears to have transitioned while on death row for the horrific crime.
Scott McLaughlin, 49, was found guilty in the murder of Beverly Guenther in 2003. The victim was McLaughlin’s ex-girlfriend, a woman he had been on-again-off-again dating for approximately one year. According to court records, Guenther and McLaughlin met in 2002, and began living with each other shortly into the relationship.
But the cohabitation was marred by break-ups that were often so serious that Geunther sometimes had to obtain restraining orders to keep McLaughlin away from her. … read full article
US - Pronoun choice is harmful, says tech billionaire Ben Chestnut
From The Times (UK)
By Mark Sellman
October 22, 2022
A technology billionaire has railed against his staff’s habit of introducing themselves on Zoom using their preferred pronouns.
“This is completely unnecessary [for] a woman (who is clearly a woman) to tell us that her pronouns are ‘she/her’ and a man (who is clearly a man) to tell us that his pronouns are ‘he/him,’” Ben Chestnut, founder and chief executive of the Atlanta-based digital marketing company Mailchimp, wrote to some employees in August. …
Chestnut said he wanted Mailchimp to be an inclusive company but the pronoun practice was never required and “in the long run this approach does more harm than good”. Forcing people to behave a certain way was “the opposite of inclusion”, he added. He said that in conversations with transgender staff, they said they did not want this type of accommodation.
Chestnut went on: “First, there is a very tiny number of peeps at Mailchimp who would consider themselves transgender. Forcing (either with orders, or through guilt) approximately 1,390 other peeps to adopt a new communication paradigm that humanity has never had to use in our 300k year existence, and in our 150k years of spoken language, in order to make things slightly more comfortable for an extremely small group of peeps is completely illogical.” … read full article
US - Mental health professionals have 'abandoned' duty of care in treatment of trans youth, therapist says
Family therapist fears 'mental health emergency' down the road stemming from transition regret
From Fox News (USA)
By Teny Sahakian
October 22, 2022
Mental health professionals have abandoned their duty of care when it comes to treating trans-identifying youth, and the long-term effects could be disastrous, a family therapist said.
"We've allowed our role to be changed in the public eye," Stephanie Winn, a licensed marriage and family therapist in Portland, Oregon, told Fox News. Therapists' new role is "essentially green lighting or rubber-stamping people along into these medical procedures when that's never been our role in the treatment of any other issue."
Youth access to gender transition medical therapy such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgery have been widely debated in recent years with critics saying minors are too young to be altering their bodies, sometimes permanently. Advocates, however, argue that such care is life-saving since untreated trans youth face higher rates of depression and suicide. … read full article

US - Destroying a child’s future to keep them happy for the moment
From The Christian Post (USA)
By Michael Brown
October 23, 2022
Many years ago, I saw a cartoon in a magazine depicting a group of people standing around a man who was lying on the ground. Someone was crying out, “Is there a doctor in the house?” In response, a doctor appeared. But he was not the kind of doctor they needed. It was Dr. Jack Kevorkian, infamous for his support of physician-assisted suicide and with instruments of death in his hand, who came forward to help.
This was a cruel joke back then. But in today’s world, it is not a joke at all. The doctor you call to help your child in the short-term child might be the doctor who hurts your child in the long-term.
In video footage obtained by the Veritas Foundation, Dr. Daniel Metzger, a “doctor with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health expressed concern about the regret that researchers are finding among young adults who transition to the opposite sex when they were children without fully understanding the ramifications.” … read full article

On Tuesday, October 11, Chilliwack school board trustee Barry Neufeld and his legal team presented his defamation lawsuit before Canada’s Supreme Court. The court is deciding whether a defamation suit against Glen Hansman, the former head of the British Columbia Teachers Federation, can proceed in a case that could have massive repercussions for those opposed to pro-transgender school materials.
During his speech, Neufeld praised Canadian media outlet, Western Standard for being “the first major newspaper that clearly laid out” his case. Below is the new sites overview of this alarming legal battle:
The lawsuit was launched following a series of events that began in October 2017 when Chilliwack school board trustee Barry Neufeld wrote in a Facebook post.
“At the risk of being labeled a bigoted homophobe,…I agree with the College of paediatricians that allowing little children choose to change gender is nothing short of child abuse. But now the BC Ministry of Education [has] embraced the LGBTQ lobby and is forcing this biologically absurd theory on children in our schools.” … read full article

UK - Doctors outraged at NHS trust’s two-hour lesson on ‘gender unicorns’
Medical staff received training on 11 different expressions, including the crudely named ‘genderf---’, leaked documents show
From The Telegraph (UK)

October 22, 2022
NHS doctors are being taught about “gender unicorns” and “genderf---” identities, leaked training has revealed.
Dozens of health service staff attended a session about gender diversity last week, delivered by the Devon Partnership NHS Trust to another trust and leaked to The Telegraph.
The two-hour session displayed a diagram of a “gender unicorn” with sliding scales of male, female and other identities, alongside spectrums of gender expression, sex assigned at birth and physical and emotional attraction.
Later in the class, medics were shown 11 examples of gender expressions, including non-binary, agender, neutrois, demigender, polygender, androgyne and femme-butch.
Attendees were left in visible disbelief when the NHS gender clinic worker leading the session introduced another identity – “genderf---” – which they explained was “when people don’t give a f--- about gender”. … read full article
Scotland - Scottish NHS ‘failing trans people’ as more go private

Transgender people are taking out bank loans and crowdfunding to pay for transition surgery because of long NHS queues for treatment described as a “failure of the system”.
Trans patients waiting for gender reassignment are turning to sites such as GoFundMe to avoid “completely unsustainable” delays on the Scottish health service, campaigners say.
One 28-year-old trans man told Scotland on Sunday that there is a three-year wait for NHS treatment. “It’s gutting because it is a failure of the system,” he said. “We are not supposed to be doing the thing they do in America where you have a medical need and you have to go on the internet and ask other people to ‘please help’. … read full article

A two-time murderer has had his death sentence upheld by the Supreme Court of Ohio after he attempted to appeal on the basis that his “gender dysphoria,” as well as being misgendered by the court, were mitigating factors that had not properly been taken into consideration.

UK - New NHS Service Specification Consultation
From Transgender Trend (UK)
October 23, 2022
We welcome the new interim service specification released by NHS England for the regional gender services that will replace the Tavistock Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) next year. This is a massive departure from the previous NHS service specification. Gone is the ideological language, replaced by proper clinical considerations and a normal standard of care consistent with other child and adolescent services. This is what we have campaigned for.
Based on the interim report by Dr Hilary Cass, the new NHS service specification will cover the changeover period and provide support for current GIDS patients and those on the waiting list.
NHS England is holding a public consultation to seek views on the new specification which will run until 4th December 2022.
Phase 1 of the service transformation service will be operational until a new service specification – Phase 2- is formed in 2023/24 following final advice from the independent Cass Review. … read full article
