She responded with "the most famous speech in the history of the agitation for woman suffrage", according to Ann D. Gordon, a historian of the women's movement. (more)
‘I literally lost organs:’ Why detransitioned teens regret changing genders
From New York Post (USA)
By Rikki Schlott
June 18, 2022
“I was failed by the system. I literally lost organs.”
When Chloe was 12 years old, she decided she was transgender. At 13, she came out to her parents. That same year, she was put on puberty blockers and prescribed testosterone. At 15, she underwent a double mastectomy. Less than a year later, she realized she’d made a mistake — all by the time she was 16 years old.
Now 17, Chloe is one of a growing cohort called “detransitioners” — those who seek to reverse a gender transition, often after realizing they actually do identify with their biological sex. Tragically, many will struggle for the rest of their lives with the irreversible medical consequences of a decision they made as minors.
“I can’t stay quiet,” said Chloe. “I need to do something about this and to share my own cautionary tale.” ... read full article
Do Schools Have a Right to Hide Information From Parents About Their Kids?
From The Daily Signal (USA)
By Nicole Russell
June 17, 2022
If you sent your 9-year-old daughter to school and she broke her arm playing on the playground, but the school didn’t tell you, that would be grounds for a harsh conversation with administrators, if not a lawsuit, right?
There are school policies and state and federal laws that outline parameters for transparency between parents, students, and schools. They are meant to protect everyone, but particularly the child, and they are rooted in the idea that parental authority is paramount, even in schools. Yet this fundamental concept seems to be corroding under the guise that woke schools and teachers know best.
In Pennsylvania recently, three parents filed a federal lawsuit alleging that their children’s first grade teacher violated their rights, not to mention school policy and state law, by teaching their children about “gender dysphoria and transgender transitioning.” ... read full article

New York Times Violates Transgender Narrative
The establishment media’s unthinking support for the transgender ideology is cracking amid the mainstream media’s exposure of harm to teenagers and women, say advocates for laws that recognize the different needs of the two sexes.
From Breitbart (USA)
By Neil Munro
June 17, 2022
The transgender activists “are losing control of the narrative,” Natasha Chart told Breitbart News, which has led the mainstream coverage of the expanding damage caused by the ideology.
Their loss of control was displayed by a June 15 article by the New York Times. The article spotlighted the deep damage of transgenderism to impressionable teenage girls and also showcased the recklessness of sex-change surgeons who rejected their peers’ recommendation against irreversible sexual surgery on 15-year-old teenagers.
The very long article ended with a quote saying, “Evidence matters, yes, but common sense matters, too.” ... read full article
Women like JK Rowling have been vilified and abused. But they speak for the majority
The More In Common report proves that gender critical feminists speak for the public
From The Telegraph (UK)
By NIKKI DA COSTA
June 18, 2022
This week More in Common published a report on ‘Britons and Gender Identity’ combining a survey of 5000 people with focus group findings. It stated what should not be controversial - that “we need to find a way to balance the experience of a very small minority – who often go through real hardship and want to be able to live their lives freely – with those who are concerned that these changes do not, inadvertently or otherwise undermine sex- and gender-based rights or women’s safety”. …
All of this will help move the discussion on and provides the foundation for further work. However, my relief is tempered because the authors, consciously or not, were unfair in two areas. ... read full article
Hillary Clinton just (indirectly) said that "trans" can't be a priority for the Dems
From Kara Dansky’s Substack (USA)
By Kara Dansky
June 18, 2022
For purposes of this post, please set aside whatever you think about Hillary Clinton. I don’t care if you’re a Democrat, Republican, or otherwise. If you’re a Democrat, I don’t care if you’re a Hillary Democrat, a Bernie Democrat, or otherwise. I don’t care whether you love her or hate her or are somewhere in between. None of that is the point of this post.
The point is …
Hillary just signaled, in this Financial Times piece, that “the transgender debate” cannot be a priority for the Democrats in this election cycle. That’s significant.
Here is how the exchange with Financial Times associate editor Edward Luce went down: … read full article

The 208-page tome is available to public high schoolers as part of city Department of Education’s woke “mosaic” curriculum, which Bill de Blasio introduced during his final months as mayor in 2021 in a bid to make educational materials more “diverse.”

Steroids, ‘Gender,’ and Fair Play
From Reality’s Last Stand (USA)

June 18, 2022
We are still wrestling with the controversy over trans-identifying male athletes in women’s sports. Just recently, the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) joined other states in requiring students to participate on teams consistent with their sex despite the fact that there are few transgender athletes within their jurisdiction. Not surprisingly, the GHSA’s justification was that there are substantial “imbalances” between biological male and female athletes. These obvious “imbalances” have been noted by others who argue that the controversy over trans-athletes should really be about fair play, not gender identity. I agree. ... read full article

Controversy has erupted over the international cycling union’s (UCI) new eligibility rules for transgender athletes with campaigners claiming that the governing body has admitted it is promoting inclusion over fairness for female riders.
The UCI has toughened its rules by requiring transgender women to demonstrate low testosterone levels for two years after transitioning, rather than one, and lowering the maximum accepted level of testosterone, but its scientific expert has also admitted that “it may not be necessary, or even possible, to eliminate all individual advantages held by a transgender [athlete]”. ... read full article
