This day in Herstory: Vera Florence Cooper Rubin, born July 23, 1928 (died December 25, 2016), was an American astronomer who pioneered work on galaxy rotation rates.[1][2] She uncovered the discrepancy between the predicted and observed angular motion of galaxies by studying galactic rotation curves. Identifying the galaxy rotation problem, her work provided the first evidence for the existence of dark matter.[3] These results were confirmed over subsequent decades. (more)

US - Ted Cruz Tells Students His Pronoun Is 'Kiss My A**' in Gender Identity Jab
From Newsweek (USA)
By AILA SLISCO
July 22, 2022
Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas told a group of conservative college students that his pronoun is "kiss my a**" while lashing out at those who inform others of their personal pronouns on Friday.
Cruz slammed what he said were "woke college campuses" during a speech at Turning Point USA's annual Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida. The Texas Republican said that he "celebrates" those who have "gone to crazy town" by recognizing the existence of people with gender identities that do match their sex at birth because it encourages others, likely those who claim that there is no distinction between gender identity and sex, to move closer to his conservative political viewpoint. ... read full article

After rejecting a new sex education textbook it had previously approved, Florida’s largest school board — the fourth largest public school system in America — finds itself racing the clock to meet the Sunshine State’s requirement to provide “Human Reproduction and Disease Education” lessons in schools.
The Miami-Dade School Board voted against the “Comprehensive Health Skills” text 5-4 during what was described as an emotionally charged Wednesday meeting. That same board voted 5-3 in favor of using that same book in April after asking its Illinois-based publisher to omit a chapter called “Understanding Sexuality.” That section dealt with topics including sexual orientation. ... read full article

July 23, 2022
As with any detrans individual, there are limitations to my experiences within transgenderism. I have never undergone any surgeries, and the true length of my social transition was only a fraction of the length of time I identified as trans. Likewise, I came from a specific online community that preached specific gospels, which may not line up with others’ experiences, especially those who came from the incel “transmaxxing” subculture or 4chan’s /lgbt/ boards.
Additionally, I’m an upper-class first-generation heterosexual American who did not exhibit a typical autogynephilic disorder; your mileage may vary depending on how closely you fit that profile. There are multitudinous reasons why all of us ended up where we did, so there is no one way to address every route. ... read full article
US - Take a Little Time, Fight the Cult
From Advocates Protecting Children (USA)
July 23, 2022
From a GC warrior in California:
SB923 Requires all medical providers and employees of Medi-Cal and all insurance policies to be indoctrinated with gender ideology and compels speech. SB107 will make California a sanctuary state for any minor to get gender interventions without parental consent as well as permit a parent to flee to CA in violation of a custody agreement to have gender interventions performed on the child. California courts take jurisdiction over the child and the custody dispute. Does any trust the California court system to do the right thing?
Every parent in every state should be opposing these bills.
The status of these bills are as follows. The appropriations committee of the assembly will decide the fate. This is where bills die. We need to stop these bills in this committee otherwise, they move to a floor vote and will likely pass with democrats running the show. ... read full article

From The Daily Signal (USA)
By Evalyn Homoelle
July 23, 2022
Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary is facing renewed criticism for slipping woke gender ideology into its definitions of “male” and “female.”
“Female,” primarily defined in the online dictionary as “of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to bear young or produce eggs,” now includes the secondary definition of “having a gender identity that is the opposite of male.”
Similarly, the secondary definition of “male” reads “having a gender identity that is the opposite of female.” ... read full article
US - AP Stylebook Issues Guide for Transgender Coverage
From National Review (USA)
By Abigail Anthony
July 22, 2022
The Associated Press Stylebook, which for decades has served as the default style manual for most news organizations, has issued a “Topical Guide” for transgender coverage that encourages writers to use “unbiased language” and to “avoid false balance [by] giving a platform to unqualified claims or sources in the guise of balancing a story by including all views.”
Yet the guidance appears to explicitly embrace the language and claims of transgender activists, a move likely to steer newsrooms away from objectively framing the issue. ... read full article

One afternoon in May of last year, as I was sitting at my desk, an email notification from my university course appeared on my screen. “Termination of Contract” was the subject line.
I crumbled into pieces on the floor. I was fortunate to be at my mother’s house at the time, and she comforted me. But the truth was that I was inconsolable. I had devoted four years of my life towards training to become a psychotherapist and spent tens of thousands of pounds in the process. But all it took was a single email for my hard work and future aspirations to come crashing down. The question going round and round inside my head was “Why?” ... read full article

UK - Children need hardcore defence against porn
From The Sunday Times (UK)
By Brenda Power
July 24, 2022
Over the 15 years that my five children progressed through secondary school, I noticed an unmistakeable trend developing in their peer groups. There were always gay children in their classes, but the numbers coming out as trans, bisexual, non-binary, queer, gender fluid and various other sexual identities increased exponentially in that time. From talking to other parents, this seems fairly common in schools across the country. It would now be rare to find a class of teenagers anywhere without at least one student who identified as one of more than 100 different recognised genders, or was trans, bi or queer. ... read full article

At what should be one of the happiest times of their lives, the women will be beaten and bullied by a man, usually the father of their unborn child. Sometimes the violence will end in a miscarriage.
