Biden's proposed rules would expand Title IX’s protections to include sexual orientation and gender identity
From Fox News (USA)
By Cortney O’Brien
September 12, 2022
President Biden's proposed changes for Title IX have stirred up such controversy that they've generated a record number of public comments from parents, many of whom are concerned about their children's safety in schools, and what the amendments will mean for women's sports.
The Biden administration proposed new regulations on the 50th anniversary of Title IX, which prohibits sex-based discrimination in schools, to expand the protections to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Defense of Freedom Institute for Policy Studies recently released a study highlighting what they called the "Dirty Dozen Defects" of the draft. The "defects" the group said has fired parents up most are those that would require schools and colleges to allow biological males to compete in girls’ sports and use bathrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their "gender identity." … read full article

Parents are enraged over President Joe Biden's proposal redefining sex and allowing transgender students to compete in female sports and use women's locker rooms in schools.

US - Biden’s gender colonialism puts US interests, credibility at risk
From Washington Examiner (USA)
September 11, 2022
The United States was an outlier on masking children in schools during COVID-19. Its policies caused irreparable educational and developmental harm to an entire generation of children. Now the U.S. is in danger of becoming an outlier again, this time on so-called “gender-affirming” healthcare, which is really just a politically correct way of saying "mutilating children."
Another entire generation of children is at risk of real harm from the progressive movement. Worse, President Joe Biden wants to ship this radical gender ideology overseas.
Early in the COVID-19 epidemic, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control reasonably recognized that there was no science showing that the harms of masking children outweighed the health benefits. … read full article
US - Experts: We must defeat gender ideology and protect children
"Teaching children to deny biology is maddening. Telling them they get to choose if you're a girl or boy, or both or neither, because they may have been incorrectly assigned an identity at birth, that's a man-made idea," said Dr. Miriam Grossman.
From The Post Millennial (Canada)
September 12, 2022
On Sunday a panel of experts in the area of gender ideology addressed the crowd at the National Conservative Conference, explaining the effect that gender-affirming care has had on individuals and families, and what can be done to protect future generations of children.
The panel consisted of Jay Richards, William E. Director of the Heritage Foundation’s Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Life, Religion, and Family; Dr. Miriam Grossman, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist; Kelsey Bolar, Senior Policy Analyst at the Independent Women’s Forum; and Terry Schilling, President of the American Principles Project. … read full article
US - Group takes issue with potential Gardner Edgerton transgender student policy
From Fox 4 Kansas City (USA)
By Jonathan Ketz
September 12, 2022
GARDNER, Kan. — The Gardner Edgerton school board is considering a narrowed-down policy concerning transgender students in the district.
In the proposal, transgendered students are supposed to use the bathroom or locker room of the student’s identity assigned at birth, or they may use an available unisex facility. It does not state that a transgender student may use the bathroom of the sex that they currently identify with.
“Kids in general, they shouldn’t be taught about sexualization,” KCK mother Kaleigh Gonzalez said while in Gardner Monday. … read full article
US - Despite law, few Virginia school districts adopt state model transgender policies
From Virginia Mercury (USA)
By Nathaniel Cline
September 12, 2022
Two years after a law passed the General Assembly requiring Virginia school districts to adopt policies for transgender and nonbinary students, few have opted to embrace model policies developed by the state.
In 2020, school boards were required by legislation to adopt policies similar to or more comprehensive than models developed by the Virginia Department of Education for the treatment of transgender students no later than the 2021-22 school year.
As of early September, however, only 10% of school boards have adopted the model policies, according to Equality Virginia. The LGBTQ+ advocacy group, which is tracking districts’ rollout of the law, said 13 school divisions have fully adopted the VDOE model policies, while 90 have opted to follow guidance put forward by the Virginia School Boards Association that contends existing policies fulfill the law’s requirements. Still other districts have rejected new policies outright. … read full article
US - Gender Reform Must Be Bipartisan
Why lefties and feminists must help guide the conversation
From BROADVIEW with Lisa Selin Davis (USA)
By Lisa Selin Davis
September 12, 2022
Last week, Manhattan Institute fellow Christopher Rufo released “A Parents’ Guide to Radical Gender Theory”: cliff notes to many of the ideological stances on sex and gender being taught in schools today, and often supported by liberal institutions and the mainstream media.
It’s really important to arm people with the knowledge to effectively and respectfully push back on some of the ideas our children are being steeped in—for instance, that sex is a spectrum, or that everyone has a gender identity. Rufo identifies that “Radical gender theorists argue that white, European men invented the ‘gender binary,’ or division between man and woman, in order to oppress racial and sexual minorities,” and yes, we really need to dismantle this notion. From the anthropologists and archaeologists I’ve spoken to, I learned that every culture that we know of has gender in some form or another—that is, ideas about what women and men should be like and do. … read full article
US - The Linguistic War Obfuscating The Physical Attack On Human Sex And Why It’s Happening
From The 11th Hour (USA)
By Jennifer Bilek
September 11, 2022
The idea that western societies are being overhauled in what amounts to a nano-second of biological evolution for a tiny amount of people with body dysmorphia is patently absurd. The more we focus on gender, which can be used as another word for sex, which is stable, or sex role stereotypes, which are flexible and harmful, the more our focus is drawn away from the corporate attack on human sex. Human sex is being attacked because it is profitable and connects us to reality.
Our shared reality as human mammals is rooted in the biosphere by reproductive sex. The global tech titans have made no secret that they are attempting a coup against reality and trying to shift human life into virtual reality. Mark Zuckerberg’s Metaverse, Elon Musk’s Neuralink, Martine Rothblatt’s and Ray Kurzweil’s Singularity, all promote the same ideology that human progress rests in a melding with AI and living in a virtual world, one overlaid on and ultimately overcoming the biosphere. Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum and his right-hand man, Yuval Harari (considered one of our greatest public intellectuals), are driving the same narrative. … read full article
US - Mapping a Woke Wonderland
From The Heritage Foundation (USA)
By Brenda Hafera
September 12, 2022
While divided on certain issues, conservatives are generally united in the belief that French and German intellectuals are to blame for our current mess. Customary offenders include Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Karl Marx, and Friedrich Nietzsche. In this aspect, Carl R. Trueman’s Strange New World: How Thinkers and Activists Redefined Identity and Sparked the Sexual Revolution offers a familiar analysis.
Still, his arguments are profound, and the slender book is a valuable guide for understanding our tumble into this modern world, this woke wonderland. Trueman is an Englishman, a professor of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College, and a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. His latest book seeks to explain the Sexual Revolution and the assault on the human person. In doing so, he does not limit himself to feminist thinkers, providing the standard account of the development of the first, second, and third (or subsequent) waves of feminism. Nor does he delve into the Lockean debate that is so common among conservatives. His focus instead is on the ascendancy of secular “expressive individualism.” His is a unique, nuanced, and convincing contribution to the dialogue on the Sexual Revolution. … read full article

Two common themes emerge when spying on my daughter’s Twitter account. The first is TV and movies. Educating the woefully unwoke is a super fun hobby of Jamie’s, as it pertains to fans showing incorrect forms of adoration, along with character shipping and script analysis where it pertains to favorite characters maybe possibly turning out to be gay for one another. These tweets and retweets bloat her timeline and consume hours, which is yet another reason I wish she’d take up sports. As if! I’m certifiable to chase that dream, but no more insane than say, the pursuit of being a gay man when you’re a straight girl… … read full article
US - Parents of Trans-Identifying Children Have Rights Too!
From Parents with Inconvenient Truths about Trans (PITT) (USA)
September 12, 2022
Being a parent of a trans-identifying child is exhausting, demoralizing and terrifying. One of the worst aspects of this struggle is knowing that virtually every institution you deal with is actively working against your attempts to safeguard your child. Schools are among the very worst of these institutions. If you are tired of your school dictating the terms for how your child’s trans identification will be handled, there is good news. A growing number of parents are suing their schools—and winning!
In May of this year, a federal District Court in Kansas recognized long standing rights of parents to control the upbringing of their children. In Ricard v. USD 475, a teacher sought an injunction against a policy of the Geary County Unified School District requiring teachers and staff to respect a student's name changes, pronouns and trans-identity and to keep these facts secret from parents. … read full article
UK - Tavistock clinic ‘putting young gay people at risk by treating them as trans’
LGB Alliance defends its charitable status at tribunal by criticising treatment at the NHS site
From The Telegraph (UK)
By Hayley Dixon
September 12, 2022
An NHS clinic has been accused of “transing the gay away”, as figures showed that two-thirds of children treated for gender identity issues are gay or bisexual.
As it launched a defence of its charitable status, the LGB Alliance told a tribunal that the “greatest threat” to young gay people was treatment with life-altering drugs and surgery, because professionals convinced them they were trans.
The charity argues its services protect gay people from “homophobic” attacks, including some “lesbians [who] are being put under pressure to drop their sexual boundaries” and have sex with male-bodied people who identify as women. … read full article
UK - Janice Raymond: 'There Is a Deafening Code of Silence about Trans Activists' Misogyny'
Too many bystanders are looking the other way, allowing trans violence against women to spread
From 4W (UK)
By Janice Raymond
Sep 12, 2022
This article is an excerpt from Janice G. Raymond's 2021 book: Doublethink: A Feminist Challenge to Transgenderism, published by Spinifex.
If anyone questions any tenet of transgender ideology, it is called violence against trans-identified persons; if parents question the prescribing of dangerous puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones given to their children as young as eight, that is called violence against trans children who are being denied “needed medical care”; if lesbians or other gender-critical women refuse the sexual overtures of natal men who claim to be lesbians, that is called violence against “trans lesbians” who wield their “lady sticks.”
A self-declared “woman” (i.e., man) can engage in the worst kind of threats and violence against feminist critics, but no woman can dare to speak out against trans dogmas without being accused of hate speech. Any questioning of trans truths invites threats and violence against so-called “TERFs.” … read full article

Liz Truss dropping the word “women” from her equalities brief while making ministerial appointments last week wasn’t the smartest PR move.
Nadhim Zahawi being made the new minister for equalities alone unsurprisingly angered those who viewed the rephrasing as symbolic.
Truss herself had held the title of minister for women and equalities, as it was previously. … read full article

Looking at the evidence, I'm probably trans." … read full article

EU - Dutch feminists blocked by banks for critique of transgender bill
The Dutch feminist organisation Voorzij could no longer use its bank account. The bank blocked it after the association criticised the plans for new transgender legislation in the Netherlands. Caroline Franssen, the organisation's founder, calls the new law "the most significant danger for women."
From CNE News (EU)
September 12, 2022
Voorzij is a secular Dutch organisation of "Gender critical feminists", the Dutch newspaper NRC reports. Voorzij is afraid that the new self-identification law undermines the meaning of the term "woman". Above all, they are concerned about the safety of non-transgender women.
If the new law is passed, men can identify as women and access women's facilities, such as changing rooms, prisons, saunas and safe houses for rape victims. "Right now, we can say: You are not a woman, get out of here", Franssen says in the NRC article. "But when the legislation is passed, women cannot set their boundaries anymore."

September 12, 2022
Last month, in preparation for an article about the growing gay backlash against trans ideology, I spoke with Bev Jackson, the co-founder of LGB Alliance, a gay and lesbian activist group that opposes the hijacking of the gay rights movement by transfolk. Bev told me about her background — fifty years in British gay activism, a resident of Amsterdam for four decades — and asked me about mine.
I mentioned my 2006 book While Europe Slept, a cri de coeur about the Islamization of Europe. I heard in her voice a degree of disquiet about its topic. Nonetheless, she asked me to participate in the LGB Alliance’s forthcoming annual convention. I accepted, but when I hung up I told my partner: “I’ve been invited to a convention in London. And when they look at my Wikipedia page they’ll disinvite me.” … read full article
