This day in Herstory: Nora Stanton Barney (née Blatch), born September 30, 1883 (died January 18, 1971), was an English-born American civil engineer, and suffragist. Barney was among the first women to graduate with an engineering degree in United States. Given an ultimatum to either stay a wife or practice engineering she chose engineering. She was the granddaughter of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. (more)

Seattle Children’s Hospital doubled down on its “mission” to operate on children with sexuality and gender identity issues in a statement to the Daily Caller on Wednesday, even as pressure mounts on health systems to quit pushing irreversible surgeries on adolescent patients.
The hospital website boasts it is “the only pediatric academic medical center with fellowship-trained plastic surgeons who provide gender-affirming surgery in our region — Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.” The hospital told the Daily Caller that despite increased tension, it plans to continue performing “gender-affirming care” on its pediatric patients. … read full article

The Biden Foundation was a 501(c)3 organization active from approximately 2017 until it suspended operations "effective immediately" in 2019, when Joe Biden announced he was running for president. On Thursday, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law a piece of legislation that will designate the state as a sanctuary for children and teens seeking medicalized gender transitions.
Newsom’s signature on the bill, SB 107, comes nearly a month after the California legislature passed State Senator Scott Wiener’s bill, which was introduced in 2021.

However, it is fast becoming the sole criteria: corporations and institutions are implementing it within their company policies, while activists strong-arm clinicians to adopt it indirectly by maligning “gatekeeping” and “non-affirming” therapies.

A male performing arts teacher who was caught wearing a bra while performing a sex act in an unlocked female toilet at a BP garage by a horrified mother and her young daughter has been spared jail.
School tutor Steven Ballantyne was in the toilet in the garage in Alnwick, Northumberland in January this year when he was seen by the shocked woman and her distraught five-year-old daughter.
